The Sonnen Solar Battery is an innovative home storage solution fully integrated and made up of safe and long-lasting Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery modules, a power inverter with intelligent energy management software.

Are the Sonnen Solar battery recyclable?

Yes, the components utilized in the Sonnen battery are recyclable. The power electronics can either be scrapped for their metal or be refurbished for a second life. The LPF battery modules are the most environmentally friendly Lithium-ion technology available to date and can be taken apart to reutilize both the iron phosphate and Lithium components.

Does the Sonnen Battery always require to be connected to the web or Internet?

Yes, it requires to be connected to the Internet for warranty purposes and for you to be able to monitor your household energy. The purpose of the system is also to work without an active internet connection.
